Position Summary

Provide technical support for Power Management, Large Scale Integration (LSI) products including switching regulators and LDO products. Serve customers and partners by analyzing technical requirements; developing and implementing solutions and designing in products.

Job Purpose

Support customers, sales representatives, and marketing with technical engineering issues, documentation, procedures, and design-in of products. Knowledge of commonly-used practices and procedures within the industry. Rely on pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Develops customer interest in ROHM technology and products by providing technical expertise and training to sales and business development teams; delivering technical presentations; and presenting customer demonstrations.
• Defines customer/partner usability and integration issues by conferring with customers, partners, account managers, product management specialists, and customer/partner support representatives; evaluating conditions; specifying requirements; coordinating with R&D to translate customer requirements into product features; conducting supportability reviews.
• Develops technical solutions by preparing and evaluating alternative solutions; planning systems integration; isolating and correcting problems; and providing estimates.
• Implements technical solutions by defining specifications; establishing integrations; conducting performance tuning, code reviews, and configuration management.
• Validates results by designing diagnostic tests; creating test scripting routines; conducting benchmark tuning/testing; identifying and resolving faults.
• Maintains results by establishing and maintaining system development standards documentation, application notes, training customer personnel; developing training manuals; responding to technical inquiries; escalating issues to engineering; and managing customer expectations.
• Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging technologies; learning current and pre-release systems, products, platforms, and complimentary tool; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
• Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering- Electrical, Electronics or Analog.
• Bilingual skills – Japanese and English in reading, writing and conversation
• One (1) to three (3) years of related industry experience or equivalent.
• Product knowledge: high voltage, analog, LDO, switching regulator, etc.
• Technical leadership.
• General consulting skills.
• Excellent communication skills both in oral and written form.
• Problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
• Demonstrated ability in presenting technical information.
• Ability and available to travel a standard of 30% of the time.
