Position Summary

This is an entry level position for a recent university graduate for a marketing/sales role with a $3B Electronics supplier.  Candidates in this position will typically be eligible for an account manager role within our North American organization within one year.

Job Purpose

Support customers, inside sales, outside sales representatives, marketing and product engineering.  Knowledge of commonly-used practices and procedures within the industry.  Rely on pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Learn our internal systems and use them to support customer delivery requirements
  • Help to develop price quotes and pricing strategies for customers across North America
  • Develop working relationships with distributors, reps, and internal employees.
  • Meet semi-annual objectives and growth plans
  • Work with marketing team to develop literature and ads to promote our products across North America
  • Maintain effective line of communication with factory in Japan and counterparts in Europe and Asia
  • Communicate positively and effectively with Outside Sales, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Marketing and Product Engineering as well as other internal ROHM departments
  • Develop quarterly and annual objectives and sales growth plans
  • Develop and maintain a number of databases to help facilitate management’s understanding of the day to day activity
  • Formulate presentations and present the information to customers and management as needed
  • Support other departments as needed by the company
  • Keep informed on new development, methods and techniques in the field of sales, semiconductors and other job related areas
  • Small amount of travel required that may grow over time to include international travel

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Marketing/Industrial Distribution
  • Knowledge of electronic components and their applications Software – Windows, Excellent MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Japanese speaking a plus, but not a requirement
  • Chinese speaking a plus, but not a requirement
  • Prioritize workload and determine priorities
  • Maintain professionalism under stressful situations
  • Communicate effectively and diplomatically with internal and external customers and other ROHM Electronics personnel both orally and in writing
